Spaghetti alla Carbornara | Savory Saturday

If I were to whip up something at the last minute, this is what I will be making.

Whenever I am at a restaurant and Spaghetti alla Carbonara is on the menu, this will definitely be the one I am getting no doubt at that. This is surely one of my favorites and I'm glad I know how to make it just like how I want it!

Let me share with you how I make mine and here what you'll need:

spaghetti, you decide how much

100 grams pancetta  - I run out of pancetta so this time I made it with ham and it was just as good.
1 clove of garlic, optional
all purpose cream, depending on how creamy you'd like yours
parmesan, depending on how cheesy you want yours
black pepper to taste
3 large eggs

 Here's how I did it:

1. Cooked the spaghetti according to package instructions.
2. In a hot pan, cook pancetta without oil. When I have Sherry at home, I would add a shot for taste and extra aroma. When cooked, I would add this to the cooked spaghetti.
3. Whisk eggs and add parmesan and cream then add to spaghetti and pancetta mixture.
4. Mix all together under low heat. Be careful not to curdle the egg and cream.
5. Season to taste and serve hot.

There you go. Let me know if you are interested in trying this out.

Which pasta dish would you recommend or want me to try out? Let me know in the comments down below.

Lots of love,

Jo xoxo
