I just recently discovered the perfect face powder for me
and I am so happy to share it with you.
With my combination skin, it is important for me to seal my
makeup with a good powder to make it last all day. As you already know, I don’t
really touch up during the day. It is very important to look decent the whole
time at work rather than a have my makeup drift away and be left with greasy
face.
When we were doing our grocery shopping in Germany, (I live
near the boarder) I went to the drugstore called DM right across the grocery. I
randomly picked up a compact powder and just hoped it would work. The powder
wasn’t expensive so it wouldn’t hurt so badly if it turned out to be a
disappointment.
Surprisingly, Manhattan 2 in 1 Perfect Teint Powder does
wonder and it met all that I wanted in a powder. It covers everything I want hidden such as my acne scars and
hyperpigmentation without looking cakey at all. I have the darkest shade of the
range and it suits my skin tone perfectly. It has a total of 5 shades in the rage.
I looked it up online to read more about the product, and what I found is that the reason why it is called 2 in 1 is that you can apply it wet or dry. All
this time I thought it was 2 in 1 because it’s a pressed powder and a
foundation at the same time – well with its coverage, you can’t blame me for
thinking so. On the website it says, for a more natural finish, it should be
applied wet. I haven’t tried this technique so I cannot vouch for it. The powder
is enriched with Vitamine E and is perfume free.
Manhattan 2 in 1 Perfect Teint Powder contains an applicator
sponge in a drawer that I never use. I apply this with a flat top kabuki brush
tapping it on top of my foundation. Trust me when I say that my makeup stays put all
day because of this. So when I ran out of it, my husband and myself immediately
drove to Germany to pick up a new one.
Excuse the dirty compact. |
Have you tried Manhattan 2 in 1 Perfect Teint Powder? If not, what is
your favorite face powder?
Lots of love,
Jo xoxo
Wow! Sounds like a complete winner! I have dry skin so it's not really suited for me but I do use a powder on occasion when it's humid. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks great!

I love shopping at dm - it's probably my favourite drugstore here in Germany ^.^
ReplyDeleteI've actually owned this product quite some time ago as well, but didn't actually know that the '2 in 1' means that you can also apply it wet, haha!

Aww, today is my turn to admit that I have never seen this brand here, Jo! The powder sounds really lovely! My favourite has to be Rimmel Matte powder, it's seriously lovely!

I used to use this powder when I was a teenager and I remember loving it! I used buy it at DM too :)

Beautiful! Great post! :))
ReplyDeleteI typically stay away from powders due to my dry skin but this sounds lovely and being able to apply it wet is so unique for a powder.

Oh, dear Jo! Thank you so much, this powder sounds really cinvincing and as I live in Germany it is very easy for me to go to the dm :) Honestly I plan it already for tomorrow. Wish you a happy end of the week!
