Ella? Who The Heck Is Ella? | Wellness Wednesday

For quite some time now, I have heard people mention Ella on YouTube. I never really paid attention until last week, I saw she was on the from page of the newspaper at work.

So I thought, there’s that girl again and this time on the front page of a newspaper! So who is she? Why is she so popular?

When I got home I quickly sought the aid of Mr Google and looked her up. Ella Woodward has a blog called Deliciously Ella which now has 150,000 hits daily and a YouTube channel with almost 35, 981 subscribers. Her blog and her channel is mainly about plant-based recipes. She also released cookbooks and were pre-orderd in advance so that the publisher had to delay the launch to print more copies.

You would say, what makes her different from all the other crackpot hippies? Her food may be plant based but are foods that one would normally eat less anything processed. Ella established this diet for herself after she was diagnosed of postural tachycardia syndrome, which is an abnormal response, by the autonomic nervous system to becoming upright, and was told there was no cure. She was bedridden and was on medication for six months and didn’t see any improvement. After healing herself through plant based diet, she started her blog.

On her blog, Deliciously Ella, you will find only healthy plant based recipes and I am so eager to try. I have never really given much thought about such diet but after reading about Ella, I think that my eating habits need retuning.
