I downloaded Gone by Christine Kersey for free and this is
the first installment of the Parallel Trilogy.
The story is about Morgan Campbell, a 16 year old who ran
away from home and got trapped in a parallel universe where it is a criminal
offense to be fat. Ridiculous isn’t it? That’s what I thought too when I was
reading it. However, instead of tossing it up, I read further and finished it.
And what’s more, I finished the whole series! Yes, I am a sucker for the young
adult genre.
Getting past its ridiculous plot, this story is actually thrilling.
It is such an adventure to see how it is to be in an alternate world. Reading
Morgan’s struggles to return to her own world is a suspense you wouldn’t want
to miss out on.
The author wrote this story in a very engaging manner and
will get you hooked, I know I did. I would definitely recommend this book if
you are up to reading something different and if you are up to the idea of
parallel universe. This is a fast read, and nothing too deep or complicated.
I did really enjoy reading this story and read the whole
series in no time, as I can’t be left hanging. I had to know what happens next
immediately.
Find out more about the author, Kristine Kersey and all her
works on her website.
What do you think about parallel universe? Do you think it exists? What
are you reading at the moment?
Lots of love,
Jo xoxo

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Gingi, I'm glad you liked it.
DeleteThis sounds like such an interesting read! I've always been fascinated by the idea that there is some sort of parallel universe. I wouldn't really say that I'm 100% persuaded that something like this exists but I certainly wouldn't disapprove of this theory - I mean, how could we ever be completely sure that our world is the only one out there?! ^_^

Exactly, just what I thought too!
DeleteLMAO! You're not the only one who is a sucker for YA books! I am too! I am current reading the last book of The Mortal Instruments series and really love it. Will keep this in mind after I finished.
