Stockholm | Travel Thursday

For my husband's birthday same time last year, I organized a surprise trip to Stockholm as a gift.

It was our first time to visit this beautiful city and it didn't fail to amaze us. Stockholm is so enchanting.

On this week's entry to Travel Thursday, allow me to share some photos I took of the city. I will post more of where we stayed and some of the places we visited in the next issues, so check back for those.

We took the Arlanda Express train from the airport to the city centre where our hotel was located. The train journey was free.

This is the old town of Stockholm. It is also where the Stockholm Palace is and where the Swedish Monarchs officially live.

This is the Skeppsbron which means the ship's bridge in Swedish. The view is just amazing.

From above you will see the beautiful archipelago that is Sweden!

Upon arrival at the airport, one will be greeted with the sensation that made Sweden more popular than ever. The airport pays homage to the world's best loved band ABBA. It has a mini museum with their memorabilia. There is however a proper ABBA museum in Stockholm, the home of the band.
