Nail polishes don’t have to be expensive for me. I have
tried both ones on the pricier end and those at the bottom of the range. They
both are the same, they never last forever. Therefore why spend a lot of cash?
Self-painting one’s nails can be both therapeutic and
gratifying. Therapeutic as we have to be focused only on getting it right and
pretty and nothing else. Whilst gratifying as once finished, we get pleased with ourselves for a
job well done. And for when compliments start coming in, that’s only the cherry
on top of the cake!
My color of choice for the week is this bubble gum pink
shade called Pink Boom from Maybelline ColorShow. I always apply my nail
polish at night when home chores are all done for the day to prevent the paint from
getting ruined. This shade was applied in a darker setting and therefore found
the pink color a bit muted almost very light pink.
Of course I was amazed by the color and proud to have
snatched this loveliness at a bargain. Under fluorescent lighting, this came
out a bit more prominent than anticipated! Almost neon-like. Therefore my trick
at work was to always hide my hands from my boss. (shhh…let’s just keep that between us.)
I got mine in Germany as it was 2 euros cheaper than in The
Netherlands. Yeah, I try to save wherever and whenever I can. We do most of our
grocery shopping in Germany by the way as the shops are cheaper than at home.
Living near the boarder has its advantages, I know!
I used Nail Envy as base and Essence Studio Nails for top coat.
So on to you – how pink would you go? Let’s compare shades.
Lots of love,
Jo xoxo
This is suuuch a perfect colour for this upcoming Valentines Day :) I am not a fan of pink polishes but these light baby pinks are just stunning and the consistency looks super creamy and luxurious XX
