1st Edition:
1. When was the last time you were in the Philippines?answer: August 2008
2. Name 1 Filipino dish you enjoy the most? Why?
answer: This is difficult as I love Filipino food. If I have to choose just one, then I would have to say Embutido. Although this is not really originally Filipino, we have adapted this from our Hispanic and Portuguese influences and customized it to our own taste. I grew up eating and loving this dish! As a child I was in heaven every time I had this.
3. Name 2 Filipino House hold item that best resembles our culture.
answer: 1. Walis (Tagalog) or Silhig (Bisaya). I have been to quite a few places and I have never seen anything like it. Who needs a vacuum cleaner when you have Silhig in the house?!
2. Can't think of anything else at the moment. I'll come back and update later.
4. Do you know how to speak in Tagalog? If so, say a phrase or two.
Answer: Yes, but I prefer my own beloved dialect Bisaya. For the purpose of this tag I will say Salamat sa pagbisita dito sa aking blog. (Thank you for visiting my blog.)
5. Which part of the Philippines are you from?
answer: South, Cagayan de Oro to be exact.
2nd Edition:
1. Do you live in the Philippines?
answer: No, I am currently residing in The Netherlands.
2. What is a stereotype about Filipinos?
answer: Filipinos are too polite, they will always say yes even when it's against their will.
3. Do you own a karaoke machine?
answer: Karaoke machines are things of the past! It's Magic Sing already and yes, I own one.
4. Sing your favorite Filipino song(yes sing!)
answer: You should know it is impossible to actually sing on this platform. Maybe some other time, some other place?
5. Have you tried balut?
answer: I am a Filipino, what did you think? Of course!!!
6. What is your least Favorite thing about being a Filipino?
answer: Maniana habit. Since this bad habit has deeply rooted in the veins of the Pinoys, everyone just expects everyone to understand the "Filipino Time" and think it's okay to be late on appointments. I really think this is lame.
7. What’s your favorite thing about being a Filipino?
answer: Warm family ties. I love how families are bound to its warm ties and that one can always rely on their families no matter what.
8. Do you eat Goldilocks on a regular basis?
answer: Goldilocks was not in my place where I grew up. It only came later so when I returned in 2008 oh boy did I had Goldilocks Polvoron and Egg Pie every single day!
9. Are you inseparable from your family?
answer: Yes, I love my family and they are my best friends. I only hang out with them. I do have other friends but I am mostly with my family.
